For the past several months (since realizing we are nutritionally challenged) we have been kind of obsessed with making smoothies. We make them so often that we blew out the motor on our blender and had to get a new one. That one week we went without a blender was pure torture.
We've experimented with different fruits and recipes, and have found one that works best for us.
Our Favorite Smoothie Recipe (makes one)
- 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup frozen mangos
- 1/4 banana (peeled, cut and frozen)
- 1 Tbsp. Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 scoop protein powder
- 2 ice cubes
- Enough milk to cover
We've tried adding baby spinach, mixed berries, peanut butter...but we think simpler is better and this is what we like best.
